I love this! I've been looking for a project to get me involved with the Arduino platform and this project looks like just the ticket. Also I think it would be easy to adapt this setup for other time/temperature sensitive cooking. For example a modified version of this project could run a proofing box for bread making, monitor beer brewing, control a chest freezer for lagering beer or control a cheese/sausage curing "cave".

I had the same problem with my Shure SE115s I just couldn't get the sound pipes centered at my ear canal. I was actually off so much I had to scrap the plugs. Least the kits are cheap, I'm going to order a couple more kits tonight and try drilling them out after curing instead.

I've used this guide as a starting point for some bottle cutting projects. My workshop is used a lot for woodworking and I was always nervous about using the torch method around all the wood shavings, dust etc... so I made a simple tool for tapping the inside of the bottle along the score line instead. It works about as well as the torch method.

Also I prefer to use sandpaper instead of loose grit. It's a little more expensive but you don't need to keep a plate dedicated to each grit either, and storage space is precious in my shop.
