Light up the stage this Halloween as J-pop music sensation Hatsune Miku, from the world-renowned illustrious band Vocaloid! This dazzling diva, famous for her aqua-colored knee-length hair and distinctive voice, will delight and mesmerize!

This is Hatsune Miku's outfit as a Camellia Princess from Vocaloid.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Hatsune Miku  ¶ 

  • There are many accessories needed to make this outfit exact to the character.

  • Once you have found all the components you will be amazing!

Add Note Edit Step 2  ¶ 

  • The main piece you will need is the top of the dress. The white top should have a large bow across the chest.

  • Buy 6 yards of white material to match that fabric.

  • Find a petticoat made of tulle that flares out at the knee, larger the better. This will be the base for the rest of the dress that will be attached under the bust line.

  • Buy 8 yards of blue-green material that is the same fabric as the white top.

  • Yardage includes the dog's outfit and purse.

Add Note Edit Step 3  ¶ 

  • Accessories needed:

    • Blue-green wig (eBay)

    • Multi-strand necklace

    • Elbow-length or longer gloves that match the material you are using

  • Accessories:

    • At least 11 white roses (3-5 for back of dress, 2 for front, 2 for main headpiece, 1 for dog's headpiece, 1 for purse)

    • Shoes

    • Bag to cover

  • Accessories:

    • White rose rings (optional)

    • White rose earrings (optional - will not be able to see then under the hair)

    • Bracelet (optional)

Add Note Edit Step 6  ¶ 

  • Head pieces:

    • Black feathers

    • Long thin black feathers

    • White rose

    • Black backing

    • Clip for hair

Add Note Edit Step 7  ¶ 

  • Attach petticoat (all three layers) directly under the bust of the dress.

  • Construct three white ruffle layers starting from top. Length = circumference x 3.

  • Construct three green-blue layers close together at the bottom. Length = circumference x 3.

Add Note Edit Step 8  ¶ 

  • Dog costume:

    • Make template for top. Attach three white layers and three blue-green layers. Attach tulle to the underside of layer so it will fluff out.

    • Make breast plate with bow; connect to body.

    • Use soft Velcro strips behind front legs, chest and tummy.

    • Make leg sleeve and attach ribbon and flower. Use lace to attach sleeve to body of dress.
