Build an iPad holder for your car in 10 minutes for less than $10.

Here's how to transform an Ikea paper/magazine holder into an iPad holder for the back seats of your car. The holder is easy to install and remove when necessary. Making this should take about 10 minutes and cost less than $10.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Cheap iPad Car Head Restraint Holder  ¶ 

  • Buy an IKEA paper/magazine holder (about 10 dollars) and use a metal saw to get the top off.

Add Note Edit Step 2  ¶ 

  • Place the iPad in the standard Apple case. Flip the case's cover back and slide it into the cut-off newspaper holder.

Add Note Edit Step 3  ¶ 

  • Place it at the back of a head restraint and push the restraint down untill it is secured. Et voilà!
